The primary goal of this project was to construct a modern dining hall for the local school and renovate school classrooms to create a safe and sanitary environment for the children. This proactive campaign was prompted by community concerns, aiming to address the long-standing issue of neglect in maintaining the school premises for over a decade and a half.
Considerable involvement from the community was integral to the project. Parents and other locals provided their support through hands-on assistance, highlighting their dedication to the community and nurturing a feeling of ownership towards the school.
Phase 1: Painting the Exterior and Classrooms
As part of the project, a comprehensive painting job was carried out in all classrooms, enhancing the look and feel of the interior and exterior spaces, contributing to a more pleasant and conducive learning atmosphere. Furthermore, a wall that was extensively damaged underwent repair and received a fresh coat of paint, completing the renovation work.
Phase 2: Lunchroom
The main phase of this project was to enhance sanitary conditions of the lunch room so the children would have a secure and sanitary environment to enjoy their meals, minimizing the potential health hazards linked to unsuitable dining spaces.
In April 2024, the lunchroom project reached its successful completion, meeting all requirements.
The recently built dining facility now offers a pristine, sanitary, and secure setting for 85 children to eat meals. Moreover, it boasts essential utilities such as electricity and water connections.
The initiative to address the pressing infrastructure requirements of the school has successfully set a sturdy base for continuous enhancements and lasting growth within the local community.
